Custom Stamp displays correct in reader but fails in acrobat

Our company has a rather old work ticket form which our technicians have been filling out on their laptops for years.  I believe it was originally created in lifecycle designer 6 but don't quote me on that.  The issue is that when the form is opened in any version of Adobe Reader, it displays correctly and the letter head with the company name and address is properly displayed at the top of the page. However when you open the same document in acrobat you can see that someone used a custom stamp to redo our address on this form when we moved several years ago and the stamp does not display correctly. http://imgur.com/bcH3Rdn

Additionally if a user edits the file in anyway with acrobat and saves it the improperly displayed letterhead becomes permanent and also shows up when trying to view that file from adobe reader.  Can anyone tell me whats going on and how to fix this issue?
