You can't use a text field for anything other than text. You say you're using digital signatures, but that would not preclude someone from attaching a file. Does this need to work with Reader?

You can't simultaneously allow someone to email a completed form and prevent them from saving it since emailing requires that the modified form be savable.

You need to clarify what you mean by "...but not .00"? Do you want to prevent a value of 0.00 being displayed if that's the result, display a result of 12 as "12" instead of "12.00", or something else?

When you Reader-enable with Acrobat, Reader users are able to attach files as comments.
