Make sure that when you're opening the file in a browser that you're actually using an Adobe plugin, and not something else.

You can't force anything in the form or web site or anything; it's entirely the end user's choice what PDF viewer to use. Increasingly they are not using Adobe Reader, for instance Chrome and FireFox...

You're right, but sometimes problems develop and you need to re-apply thecalculation. The code I provided should be used as the field's custom calculation code.

Thanks for your help. I believe that Acrobat may not be for us. I may have to manually develop the form on our website using Gravity Forms in WordPress. Painful process but at least we won't run into...

Have a look at Adobe FormsCentral as well. It's a web-based form servicethat is similar to PDF forms, but because it's a web-page there are no suchcompatibility problems...

Correct. If you use FC then no email is used at all. The responses will besaved on the server.
