ave you ever used distiller before?

What are you trying to do with Distiller?

It is a single purpose program, that is it does just one thing.

You have a very large number of fonts installed on your system.

I don't use it, it's just that it keeps popping up with error messages so I want to stop them. I also have removed a lot of these fonts. For some reason, a lot of them were duplicates.

The simplest way of achieving it is to go to the field's Properties, Format tab and select Special and then Arbitrary Mask and enter this mask string:

99:99

Now, this will not validate that the time the user enters is a valid time (eg, they could enter "34:99" if they wish), but it's the best you can do without any scripts.

Make sure you're only selecting a single field when you go to Properties.

TurboTax or H&R Block Tax software only print a copy of the inputted data to a PDF for the client's records. The input screens and data storage are all independent of the PDF printer.

The newly release Acrobat DC can convert PDF forms but only the value of the fields will be converted and not create a form field and the VB script to emulate a PDF form.

This is not a very good interface. Prompts one up to selecting the folder. I found you select the folder and you must select a folder, even it is the current folder, and then one will get the pop-up for the file name, enter the name and click the "Save" button.

Prevent PDF from converting to FDF upon submission?

I have created a pdf in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro that has fillable forms. I have a submission button at the bottom that sends completed form via email directly to me. When I receive the forms they come in an fdf file format. I've done something simple to the form before within Acrobat 9 Pro that prevents it from converting to the fdf file but I cannot remember how I did it! I did not use any scripts or anything that kept it as a pdf once submitted/sent.

I just need help remembering a SIMPLE few steps to the settings of the Acrobat file that prevents the form from submitting an fdf file.

Make sure you do not have duplicated form fields stacked and you are not accidentally selecting both fields at the same time.

Posting a link to a sample for the form with the issue might help. Make sure all can access the link. Use Acrobat Cloud or a service like DropBox.

Postback Message

I have a Acrobat form and I want to send a postback message when the form is submitted.

Is this possible, if so how?

The problem is the form has been converted to an EchoSign form, which places certain limitations on fields. Assuming you don't want to use the form with EchoSign, if you start from scratch you won't have this problem. You can also revert to an "Acrobat Form" using Acrobat.

Red border removal required radio boxes

hello, I am trying to eliminate the red highlighting around a group of required radio boxes once one of the boxes is chosen. I can get this to happen via javascript for reuired text fields, but have stumbled with radio buttons.

Using Acrobat Professional.

This is the route for Text Fields.

+++

// Custom Validate script for text field

event.target.required = !event.value;

Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated.

A simple way would be to set up a hidden text field set up with the following custom calculation script:

// Custom Calculation script

var f = getField("rb1");

f.required = f.value === "Off";

where "rb1" is the name of the radio button group.

While it's possible to do something similar in the Mouse Up script of each radio button in the group:

// Mouse Up script for each radio button in group

event.target.required = event.target.value === "Off";

this script won't get triggered when the form is reset, whereas the calculation script is.
