If it needs to work with Reader, be aware it cannot show/hide template pages, but Reader 11 can spawn templates to create new pages and pages that are spawned from templates can be deleted, but not if the document is Reader enabled. So you don't show/hide template pages, you spawn new ones from templates and delete.
