Hi all,
I'm trying to help a friend create an inspection form to use on a windows tablet. for the base form I just used the form they had created in excel for the paper version they currently use. my problem is the systems he inspects have different configurations. I don't want to have to create 50 different versions of the form. these forms also are sent to customers for their records, so presentation is important.
Ideally I want to have radio buttons to turn the relevant sections on or off. but when off I want the page to condense down as if those options don't exist so there are no blank spots when viewed or printed. another thing I'd like to do for the form is put a border around a group of related fields to separate different sections of the form (these too would have to adjust location) .
I'm not sure which software should be used to accomplish this. there's the one in acrobat, then there's form central, then livecycle, and I believe something else called indesign and that's just what I've read about in the past day. which should I be using to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
